We arrived in Tuba City, Arizona on Friday, May 8th. On our way down, we stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam. I remember being there some time when I was a young kid. It still is amazing that the Dam is sooooo big. On Saturday we went over to deliver the school supplies that we brought down with us. Evie was so surprised at all we brought. It was nice to finally meet Evie (Beanie). She was so thankful for all the school supplies that we brought for the kids at the Day School. I will attach some pictures.

Later in the day, we went to Bacavie to the Dance. It was so interesting. We went to Ruby's house. She made us feel like family. The biggest phrase we heard was, "Sit down and eat!" We were able to meet most of her family. What a great experience. Ruby told us about the Kachina dancers and all about the dance.

At Beanie's house, we met Flora. She is the stroke victim that we brought supplies down for. She is such a wonderful lady. I feel blessed that I was able to be part of such a great effort. Flora is only 47 years old. She lives in a tiny adobe brick house with no running water or electricity. She was quite overwhelmed by the generosity of all the people that donated things to her. We were very sad to find out that she is back in the hospital with swelling on her brain.
